USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 1

Matt Cardone (SA) - #SAvPHX, 3/9/19: Cardone produced an excellent stop to keep out a long-range free kick by Phoenix’s Doue Mala late in the clash between contenders at Toyota Field.

David Ochoa (SLC) - #SACvSLC, 3/9/19: The United States U-20 international came off his line quickly and stayed big to produce a reflex save on Sacramento’s Cameron Iwasa at Papa Murphy’s Park.

Jake Fenlason (STL) - #STLvIND, 3/9/19: Fenlason went at full stretch to his right to deny the Championship’s all-time leading scorer Dane Kelly from the penalty spot at Toyota Stadium – Saint Louis.

Carl Woszczynski (PHX) - #SAvPHX, 3/9/19: Woszczynski got down well at his near post to deny a low shot by San Antonio’s Billy Forbes from the right side of the penalty area to keep his side’s deficit at one goal late.

Cody Mizell (NM) - #NMvFRS, 3/9/19: Mizell came up with a diving save to his left and kept out a strong header by Fresno’s Jemal Johnson to help preserve the first point in New Mexico United’s history.
