Toros and HBU Draw in Preseason Match

The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros played to a 0-0 draw against Houston Baptist University. The preseason match capped off the third week of preseason for the RGV FC Toros.

The match was divided into three periods of thirty minutes, giving enough minutes to the RGV FC players and trialists to get some minutes under their belt. The Toros were able to keep a clean sheet which was very important for the club.

After the match, head coach Gerson Echeverry said ” I think they were moments were we were moving the ball around well and where the flow was okay but in the offensive third we weren’t fluid at all. “

The RGV FC Toros will keep on preparing for 2018 USL Season, which kicks off on March 16. The Toros will play host to Saint Louis FC. Prior to the regular season home opener, the Toros will play San Antonio FC on the road in early March.
