EDINBURG, TX – The USL Championship announced today that, due to inclement weather impacting the ability to complete a field conversion, the match between New Mexico United and RGVFC Toros, previously scheduled for June 22nd, will be postponed until July 6th at 8:00 PM CST. The rescheduled match will be played at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.
The pause in play for RGV FC now allows for a nine-day window before their next official match, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29 at H-E-B Park.
Both teams worked diligently to reschedule the contest; “Ultimately, the rain that we have been so grateful to receive in recent days across our state has made a safe field conversion impossible,” said New Mexico United Owner/President Peter Trevisani. “While this postponement isn’t ideal for anyone, we are grateful to the Isotopes, UNM, and RGV for working with us to reschedule in a timely manner.”
