MATCH RECAP: LOU CITY WIN BY MINIMUM AT H-E-B PARK

EDINBURG, Texas (October 1, 2022) – Rio Grande Valley FC (12-13-6, 42 pts) fell to top ranked Eastern conference side Louisville City FC (20-6-6, 66 pts) at H-E-B Park. Tyler Deric saved four on target to keep the game manageable at 0-1 on the night.

Louisville struck first via header at the 33-minute mark and never looked back as Wilson Harris placed a soft touched ball past Tyler Deric, off the crossbar, 0-1. DelPiccollo was credited with an assist on the scoring play.

The Toros were limited to just two shots in the opening half as Louisville City controlled pace with 50% possession.

Akeem Ward placed a shot on target in added time as RGV FC attempted late, in the 93^rd minute to attempt the equalizer after being limited to just two shots on target on the night but was not lucky.
